Performance Advantage in Harsh Conditions: SPARK Heating Alloys for Thermal Cycling, Carburizing & Vacuum Environments
For industrial purchasers and thermal engineers in ceramic sintering, electronic diffusion furnaces and controlled-atmosphere heat treatment, the stability of heating materials under extreme conditions directly determines operational costs and product yield. Under high-temperature thermal cycling, carburizing atmospheres and high vacuum, conventional FeCrAl and NiCr heating wires often suffer from oxide spalling, creep sagging and resistance drift. Frequent replacements not only raise material costs, but also cause costly unplanned downtime.
Founded in 1956, SPARK by Shougang Gitane boasts 70 years of R&D expertise in electric heating alloys. Backed by proprietary formulation systems and advanced manufacturing technology, our complete product portfolio ranging from standard resistance wires to ODS super alloys delivers outstanding performance in demanding conditions, serving as a premium import alternative benchmarked against top international brands.
Ultra-High-Temperature Thermal Cycling: ODS Technology as a Kanthal APM Alternative
Continuous high-temperature operation and repeated thermal shock put constant pressure on alloy creep and thermal shock resistance. Conventional FeCrAl materials are prone to sagging deformation, accelerated oxidation and shortened service life after long-term operation above 1200°C.
Our newly launched SGHT ODS super heating alloy, produced from refined master alloy via powder metallurgy and specialized thermomechanical processing, is engineered as a reliable Kanthal APM equivalent. With a maximum service temperature of 1425°C and a rapid life test result of over 80 hours at 1350°C, it features minimal high-temperature creep, excellent oxidation resistance, low resistance drift and superior formability. Suitable for high-power-density, corrosive and carbonaceous atmospheres, it is an ideal upgrade material for ceramic kilns, high-temperature heat treatment furnaces and vertical diffusion furnaces.

Delivery form
Complemented by our SGHYZ (1400°C rated) and HRE (1350°C rated) ultra-high-temperature grades, as well as standard high-temperature FeCrAl series including 0Cr25Al5 and 0Cr23Al5, SPARK provides tiered solutions for different thermal cycling requirements, significantly extending element service life and reducing maintenance downtime.
Carburizing & Corrosive Atmospheres: Dense Passivation Barrier for Process Stability
In controlled-atmosphere carburizing and nitrogen-protected sintering processes, active carbon and nitrogen atoms penetrate alloy grain boundaries, causing embrittlement and abnormal resistance increase that directly affect temperature control accuracy.
SPARK alloys feature optimized composition design for layered atmospheric protection. High-aluminum FeCrAl wires such as 0Cr23Al5 and 0Cr25Al5 form a continuous, dense alumina film that effectively blocks carbon infiltration. High-chromium NiCr alloys including Cr30Ni70 and Cr20Ni80 exhibit excellent green-rot resistance, with minimal resistance fluctuation after long-term operation in medium-temperature carburizing environments. For aggressive carbon-rich conditions, SGHT ODS alloy delivers even better performance thanks to higher matrix purity and a denser oxide layer, ensuring uniform furnace temperature and consistent process quality.
Vacuum Furnace Applications: High-Purity, Low-Volatility for Clean Processes
Vacuum brazing, vacuum annealing and semiconductor heat treatment impose extremely strict requirements on the volatility and cleanliness of heating materials. Impurity vaporization from standard alloys can contaminate workpieces and cause resistance drift, shortening element service life.
SPARK employs advanced smelting technologies including electroslag remelting and powder metallurgy to minimize low-melting impurities and harmful elements, ensuring exceptional chemical homogeneity. In high-vacuum environments, SPARK heating alloys exhibit far lower element volatilization rates than standard commercial grades, with long-term stable resistivity that meets the strict cleanliness and reliability requirements of high-end vacuum equipment.
As a national-level "Little Giant" enterprise and national green factory, SPARK has led the formulation of all national electric heating alloy standards in China and holds 72 patents. We supply heating alloy wires, strips and tubes in full specifications. With 70 years of technical heritage, from standard FeCrAl & NiCr heating wires to ODS super alloys, SPARK delivers full-scenario adaptability and consistent quality, providing global mid-to-high-end purchasers with reliable import alternatives and professional thermal solutions matching international standards.
