Celebration of the 105th Anniversary of CPC Founding & Advanced Model Commendation Conference Held by Shougang Co., Ltd.

Wang Lifeng pointed out that the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping at the conference celebrating the 105th anniversary of the founding of the CPC is forward-looking, profound in ideology and rich in connotation. It offers vital guidance for us to comprehensively strengthen Party building, advance in-depth integration of Party building with production and operation, give full play to the role of Party organizations as fighting bastions and the exemplary vanguard role of CPC members, and thoroughly implement the 15th Five-Year Plan.

Wang Lifeng noted that the collectives and individuals commended at this conference are typical representatives of Party organizations at all levels and all CPC members across the company. Their deeds vividly depict Party officials and staff who dare to take on responsibilities and pursue innovation. On behalf of the Company Party Committee, he extended warm congratulations to all awarded collectives and individuals, and conveyed festive greetings and sincere respect to all CPC members fighting on every front.

Wang Lifeng stressed that since the start of this year, amid multiple challenges, Party organizations at all levels have been guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, fully implemented the spirits of the 20th CPC National Congress and all plenary sessions of the 20th CPC Central Committee, carried out in-depth learning and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance achievements, and extensively promoted the mass thematic practical activity of "One Guidance, Two Integrations – Ushering in a New Journey and Breaking New Ground". United and led by Party organizations, all Party officials and staff forged ahead with solid work. The company strived to upgrade its capacity of "Four Types of Manufacturing", fully implemented the management requirements of "Four Ultimate Standards", maintained efficient production across all processes and working procedures, and offset the downward market trend through cost reduction and efficiency improvement covering all factors and all employees. Remarkable results have been achieved in operational system development, fruitful progress made in all work streams, and production and operation trends are positive.

Combined with the current situation and tasks facing the company, Wang Lifeng put forward the following requirements:

1. Further deepen the learning and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of performance achievements to deliver satisfactory work results.We must firmly grasp targeted requirements and fully implement work arrangements to deepen theoretical study continuously. We should stick to reading original works, studying original texts and grasping core principles, conduct repeated learning, benchmarking and implementation. Closely centering on core tasks including production, operation, reform and development, we will integrate learning, thinking and practice and unify knowledge, faith and action. We will press ahead with rectification and improvement, keep a close eye on rectification tasks, improve long-term mechanisms and institutional systems, and strengthen the execution of rules and regulations. We will carry out open learning activities, test the effectiveness of education through high-quality development outcomes, and embed a correct view of performance achievements into every stage of production, operation and construction.

2. Strive for excellence in all reform and development tasks to lay a solid foundation for the launch of the 15th Five-Year Plan. We will pursue excellence while boosting production efficiency and optimizing product mix. Centering on the development of four business divisions, we will strengthen systematic and professional coordination, seize structural market opportunities, and steadily enhance production and sales support capacity. We will strive for excellence in cost reduction. Focusing on all cost-cutting targets, we will maintain mature existing measures while tapping new potential cost-reduction approaches. We will strive for excellence in corporate reform and development. We will embed benchmarking thinking into all operational analysis processes, adopt a strategic mindset based on respective job responsibilities, and take the lead to break through bottlenecks in key work at the initial stage.

3. Target annual goals to deliver tangible outcomes through in-depth integration of Party building and production & operation. We will identify key integration points for Party building and business operations, take tough and hot issues arising from production, operation and reform as priorities of Party building work, and integrate Party building into the whole process of production, operation, reform and development.We will adhere to the "One Guidance, Two Integrations" framework and align thematic practical activities with annual key tasks. Driven by technological innovation, we will translate innovation achievements into on-site production and market competitiveness. We will deepen management innovation to advance organizational transformation and process reengineering for higher efficiency and lower costs. We will also advance business model innovation by accurately identifying downstream customers’ application scenarios and expanding value-added space via precise, customized services.

Wang Lifeng also put forward clear requirements on rigorously implementing work concerning work safety, heatstroke prevention and flood control, team development, staff care, and a series of equipment maintenance tasks.
