In 2021, the Party Committee of Gitane Company insisted on science and technology innovation as the driving force, deeply implemented the innovation and technology strategy, continuously promoted the construction of essential safety, continuously built the innovation platform for small changes and small reforms, insisted on the leadership of the Party building, the leadership of the Party Committee, the guarantee of the branch, the leadership of the Party members and the participation of the whole staff, which injected a strong impetus for the high-quality development of the company, the improvement of quality and efficiency, and the enhancement of essential safety management. 

Until recently, the company has completed the evaluation and establishment of four batches of small change innovation projects, and now the fourth batch of outstanding projects are announced as follows.

1.Project Name: Steel Rolling Prefinishing Mill Guide Modification and Optimization Project

Project content: The pre-finishing rolling exit guide is in close contact with the high-temperature rolled parts for a long period of time, with high rolling speed and high surface wear, which requires frequent inspection and replacement to ensure the surface quality of the coils. Chen Dezhong of the rolling process in the rolling operation area gave full play to his role as a pioneering party member. As a former member of the company’s steel rolling and a worker technician, he led the staff of the team to start by analyzing the weak links and, on the one hand, optimizing the guide wheel material and heat treatment process to increase wear resistance; on the other hand, adjusting the shoulder size of the guide guard to increase the fatigue resistance strength.

After the project was implemented and put into use, the service life of the guide wheel and guide shoulder was significantly improved, with the replacement cycle of the guide wheel extended from 5 days to 12 days and the use cycle of the guide shoulder extended from 14 days to 30 days. According to the calculation, the monthly net saving of acquisition cost is RMB 5,056 and the annual efficiency is RMB 60,700.

Project content: Wire drawing operation area is now using 5T double girder overhead travelling crane hatch needs to be manually closed by overhead crane workers, there is a risk of poor closure and falling from height. Han Peng in the wire drawing operation area to ensure the normal protection device of the double girder overhead travelling crane on the basis of the proposed addition of a safe and independent protection system, the escalator on both sides of the railing as a positioning point, through the far infrared proximity switch for positioning, and electromagnetic suction cup lock and intermediate collector as an actuator and control mechanism, respectively. When the overhead crane leaves the parking entrance, the infra-red proximity switch acts to issue a signal, which is transmitted through the control mechanism to the actuator to achieve automatic locking of the overhead crane door. Through the implementation of the transformation, the “danger isolation” is effectively realised, and the personal safety of the overhead crane workers is strongly guaranteed.
